What is Wallpaper and how can I use it?

sitepump allows you to set Top and Bottom wallpapers of your choice so you can customize the look and feel of your sitepump with great depth. You can change your Top and Bottom wallpapers settings as mentioned below.
Steps

  • Click on ‘Control Panel’ link at the top and select the tab named ‘Wallpapers’
  • From ‘Top Wallpaper’ tab, you can choose wallpaper from our collection or you can have your own image (hosted somewhere on internet) as wallpaper. To add your image as top wallpaper, select the second option in the dropdown as shown below and click ‘Done’.

  • To change the bottom wallpaper, click on tab named ‘Bottom wallpaper’. Same as ‘Top wallpaper’ tab, you can either choose wallpaper from our collection or you can use your image by selecting second option from dropdown.

sitepump provides some extra options to let you customize the look and experience of your page completely. You can change text color, background style, header height and other options from the same tab.

How do I share my pages with other users?

We provide two ways to share your pages via sitepump with other users.
To Share pages via your blog/site OR via instant messaging, please follow these steps.

  • Open up ‘Page Options’ by clicking on down arrow on page.

  • Click on ‘Share this page’ button and it should show you two options.

  • To share the page via your blog / site, click on ‘on my blog or on my site’ link. Copy the HTML code and paste on your site. This should create a button on your site for ‘Add to sitepump’. When your visitors will click on that button, they will be taken to sitepump where they will be able to preview the content of page you shared.

  • To share the page via instant messaging, click on ‘by instant messaging’ link. Simply copy the link and send it your friends via instant message or email.

To Share pages via Gadget Directory with all sitepump users
In order to use this feature, you need to be registered. Please register if you haven’t done that yet.
Please follow below steps to share your pages with all sitepump users via Gadget Directory.
Steps

  • Open up ‘Page Options’ by clicking on down arrow on page.

  • Click on ‘Publish this page in Directory’ button

  • If you are signed in then it will show you a message confirming the page has been shared.

What is RSS Feed?

In the old time, visitors had to visit websites to find information. In the new era of internet, some intelligent folks have made some discoveries so information comes to visitors. In this way, visitors can choose what content they would like to read by seeing concise description and then they can visit target site if the content is of their interest. These days, every major website and almost all blogs offer RSS Feeds so their users can subscribe to feeds of their interest. Look for or or or icons on your favorite sites. These symbols are for web feeds. Click on that symbol and you will have the feed URL of that web feed. For more information on RSS Feed, please visit

How can I use sitepump to add, manage, and find RSS feeds?

sitepump provides multiple ways to help you find, add and manage RSS feeds of your choice.
Adding a single RSS Feed URL
Steps

  • Please click on ‘Add Gadgets’ link at the top and you will see below black ‘Add Gadgets’ panel.

  • Now click on Add Feed icon and you will see yellow box as shown below. Please add your URL in the first box and click ‘Add’

  • Your RSS Feed will appear on your page

Importing OPML file (RSS directory): sitepump allows you to import your OPML file using following steps.
Steps

  • Please open ‘Add Gadgets’ Panel and click on ‘Add Feed’ icon. Look for heading ‘Import’ in yellow box. Please click on ‘Browse’ button and select OPML file from your PC location.

  • Click on ‘Import’ button and sitepump will parse RSS Feeds from your OPML file. In case if you are having an issue with your OPML file, please make sure it’s in a valid format using http://validator.opml.org/

Find RSS Feeds: sitepump provides functionality for finding RSS Feeds of your interest from internet so you can add them quickly on your page.
Steps

  • Please open ‘Add Gadgets’ Panel and click on ‘Add Feed’ icon. Look for heading ‘Search’ and type your keywords in that box as shown below.

  • sitepump will find the RSS Feeds related to those keywords and will give you option for adding them on your page as below.

Manage RSS Feeds: sitepump provides inbuilt RSS Feed reader to help you read and consume information from RSS Feeds quickly and effectively.
Steps

  • Please go to one of the RSS on your page and click on any feed item.

  • You will see that RSS Feed reader has opened with all your RSS feeds from that particular page in a tabbed view.

  • From this interface, you can quickly navigate through your RSS feeds either using mouse or keyboard shortcuts as shown below.

To help you find more RSS Feeds of your interest, you can visit our Gadget Directory and search for keywords of your interest. Exporting your RSS Feeds : At any point of time, if you wish to use some another aggregator site to manage your RSS feeds, you can export your existing feeds from sitepump in OPML format. Please follow these steps to get OPML file and don’t forget to tell us why you want to switch to some different service.
Steps

  • Click on ‘Control Panel’ link at the top, Click on the tab named ‘Backup’

  • Click on ‘Download Now’ button and file download box should appear. You can now save that file on your desktop.

What is Webclip and how can I use it?

You may have experienced that you are visiting certain sites often to check out some specific part of those sites. Don’t you wish you can just clip those parts of websites like a scissor and save them somewhere so you don’t have to visit those 10 or so sites individually? With sitepump, you can do that. Please follow steps below to learn.
Steps

  • Please open ‘Add Gadgets’ panel and click on ‘Add Webclip’ icon. Type the URL of your choice in a text box and click on ‘Open’ button.

  • You will see webpage you have provided is now opened in a frame at the top. Please highlight the area you want to capture by pressing down left click of your mouse and click on ‘Done’ button after selecting the area you want to capture.

  • Click on ‘Add this Gadget to my page’ link at the top of yellow box to add that capture on your page.

Now every time when you visit sitepump, the screen capture you have added will be ready for you exactly the same way as it is shown on the parent site.

What is Gadget Directory and how can I use it?

Gadget Directory is the place where our users can share useful gadgets with other users. It allows registered users to contribute and everyone to take an advantage of community efforts.
